International law firm Bird & Bird have followed their previous contracts for F4E with a specific appointment as one of three firms selected to support F4E on resolution of disputes in construction and engineering projects and adjudications.
Lead Partner Andrew Renton said: “Bird & Bird are delighted to have been appointed to this prestigious panel and we look forward to working closely with the team at F4E.”
Bird & Bird’s global reach and expert knowledge will bring added strength to the processes they advise on, and their top-ranked recognition in specialist fields will bring a depth of understanding of the project issues and solutions. Their “one firm” approach ensures clients the benefit of a highly integrated service. Headquartered in London but with 28 offices around the world, they are also strategically well placed to support international projects such as ITER.
Their experience in similar industry sectors played a part in the F4E contract success. Andrew Renton added: “We have a strong capability in the nuclear sector which we can combine with high skill sets in IT, IP and technology and commercial engineering projects. This will allow us to align the traditional engineering aspects to the exciting new technologies being developed through this world-leading project and enhance the potential outcomes for all involved.
“Our introduction to the F4E project and ITER through the UKAEA Fusion and industry team and their ongoing support has been greatly appreciated.”
